search.creativecommons.org is not a search engine, but rather offers convenient access to search services provided by other independent organizations.

CC images are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License.

2. Pexels

Pexels provides high quality and completely free stock photos licensed under the Creative Commons Zero (CC0) license. All photos are nicely tagged, searchable and also easy to discover through our discover pages.

I think Pixabay is the easiest of the free stock photo sites to navigate.  It's very easy to find the type of image you want.

5. StockSnap

StockSnap searches multiple sites for free stock images. The Stocksnap creators say, "We created this tool to make searching for free stock photos easier, just a little bit easier."

I receive beautiful free stock photos from StockSnap.io every week.

6. Unsplash

Founded 3 years ago as a humble Tumblr blog, Unsplash has grown into an industry-leading photography community. It’s become a source of inspiration for everyone from award-winning writers like Deepak Chopra to industry-titans like Apple, and millions of creators worldwide. Now, over 3 photos are downloaded a second on Unsplash.
